TIPS
-
Make it your own
Don’t try to keep up with the Jones’s. Figure out what will make you happy and run with it. It’s impossible to please everyone and yourself, so just make sure you prioritize your own needs for the day.
-
Have fun
Enjoy the process and the experience as much as possible. Don’t get caught up in things you cannot control. Embrace the everything as it comes and at the end of the day, remember that you’re marrying your best friend and you get to celebrate with your favorite people in the world.
-
Hire vendors you trust
Hiring the right vendors can severely make or break the experience you have on your wedding day. Rely on word of mouth or the expertise from your planner to find the right fit for your vision and personalities.
-
Hire a planner
It’s easy to get caught up in the idea of DIY, but take it from someone who’s seen hundreds of weddings… it’s almost never worth the stress and ultimately can be just as expensive due to the mistakes you’re likely to make.
-
Communication matters
There are a lot of moving parts on a wedding day. Most vendors are seasoned veterans and can go with the flow, but not being thorough with ensuring all are on the same page can create stressful issues. All that much more reason to have a planner/coordinator.

Make time for the two of you
Possibly the best advice I could give, is to make sure you have time with your new spouse. Take an extra 15 minutes after your first look, or some time after the ceremony. Take a walk just the two of you at sunset, or even getting ready together! The day goes by fast, and you want to spend the lions share of that time with each other - trust me.
Elopement guide
Whether you want to truly elope with just the two of you, or you want to micro-wed with an intimate gathering of your closest friends and family, your photographer can help. With 15+ years of experience I know a thing or two about eloping. Whether it’s a local backyard shindig, or an adventure thousands of miles away, I would be honored to collaborate, brainstorm and ultimately help you plan the entire endeavor.
Engagement guide
I see engagement sessions as much more than just a checklist item before the wedding day. It’s an opportunity to document a really exciting and monumental chapter of your lives. I would love to be super intentional about how we plan and execute this session so you can look back at the photos as more than just pictures. They are heirlooms and time portals. I’d love to share more about my process!
